It does actually look a lot like a rear label now you mention it, can't imagine this lot as sherry or port men though, a bit too refined.

Suspect it's a 'fictitious' brand: looks like a whisky bottle/label but one that does not actually exist. Even though these TV series were shown on commercial TV, product placement was still discouraged. They couldn't do anything about the cars they were seen driving, but everything else was 'low key'.

Anyway the actual content of the bottle would have been cold tea!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I will happily admit to enjoying a bottle of sherry at Christmas, and I always have a botttle of port in at home, but I'm not sure I'm ready to hear that these men are sherry drinkers!!!

Looks more like a beer bottle than anything. I'd guess it is meant to be Scotch but as Barry says it's probably just a prop.

I had a search on tinterweb and discovered a 'Professionals' forum...but it was closed.

I found a useful looking forum called TVlounge but that was closed too.

This pic makes me think it probably is a prop brand.

Yes I was thinking that might be a 'G' at the end. Good spot.
