Hi Lawrence from North London here

Hi all just a quick introduction from me.

I've had the hifi bug for about 10 years. Before that I had a richer sounds special (but not a bad one) but once I found ebay I was smitten! Have owned a few dozen pairs of speakers since them, my amps and sources have been a little more stable as I see the speaker a the main source of a system's character although my view has become a bit more balanced by the recent acquisition of a trichord dac which has made all speakers sound good!

Currently (ie the last week!) listening to wharfedale e90 kits (ex pub/dj with ripped black vinyl exterior!) driven by an opera consonance M100se amp, musical fidelity A3.24 dac and arcam delta 250 transport. The addition of an X10 v3 tube buffer has just given it the edge (or should I say taken the edge off) and I'm pretty happy. But I have a pair of kef reference 3s to bring over at some point they will be a stern challenge with the trichord dac!

Interested in any local meet ups I don't drive and have a lot of childcare responsibility but otherwise am well up for a bit of constructive criticism and tweaking!
