    Truth be told battery power will be no quieter than Paul H's better external supplies. They have their own issues and sources of noise as well as distinct functional limitations.

    I have no intentions to mod my 1210 any further I think I've gone as far as I can. I'm happy with my SR7, it looks very menacing in a low light .

    Surely that depends completely on the design of the power supply, battery or not. Unless you're saying the Paul H's one is the best in the world. That might be what you're saying.

    So you mean that particular battery powered PSU won't be better than PH's one. Is that because you've tested side by side? I understood your post to mean battery PSUs in general. Apologies for the confusion.
