Default Is the youtube tag working?

I've just tried posting up a youtube video using the youtube insertion thing in the Advanced editor... Here: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showt...346#post646346

On my computer (Win 8.1, Firefox 37.0.2) instead of the embedded youtube video, I get the following line of text:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6ZecDs0GI4">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6ZecDs0GI4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
Is there a fault or is it my PC?

Any answer on this 5 months later? I still can't get it to work - just get the same text as above.

What are you supposed to cut and paste between the Y tags?

Sam you have to remove the s from https once you have pasted the address,

I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Type left hand bracket ("["), "Y", "T" then right hand bracket ("]"). Then copy and paste in the YouTube link. Remove everything in front of the equal sign ("="), including the sign itself, and then terminate the string with "[/YT]". Thus, using your example of V6ZecDs0GI4, we have

I was using the "Insert Video" button which specifically gives the example of copy and pasting the whole url.

When I originally asked about this and when I asked again a few weeks ago, the "insert video" thing was creating YOUTUBE tags (in square brackets) or at least YT tags. Now when I use it, it gives VIDEO tags ... which now work.

So I guess it has been fixed somehow (I say "somehow" as I'd have thought it was a forum software issue outside of direct AoS control).

    Let me test something.

YT tags using only the V6ZecDs0GI4 part:

    YT tags using the url:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6ZecDs0GI4">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6ZecDs0GI4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">

VIDEO tags using the full url:

OK, so https:// is fine with the VIDEO tags and YT is specifically for youtube (as you'd guess).

    Oh, finally YOUTUBE tag:

(guess I was mistaken thinking I'd seen those tags..)

The normal process for linking YouTube here ain't working. Normally I just use the button at the top of the message and add the last bit of the url.

What's changed? Can we still link to YouTube?
One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.
