yes the Js are driven by the single ended class A Firstwatt. and they love it.
the finish in the the speakers is satin maple. every side is mirror matched to the other speaker, it looks fantastic. i find the wet glossy look that AN does also very pretty, but the satin is more understated.
the amp is actually not on the floor, its on symposium rollerblock jrs on an SSC base . the das is also on rollerblocks on a big ikea butchers' block, that is on BDR cones. huh. i will eventually buy a double wide rack with two tiers but i havent gotten around to doing it yet. and yes, i do like the minimalist look. the floor is concrete.
