I'm going to connect my better kitchen speakers to the 2nd speaker outputs (high current) of the living room amp, and plug them in when I want, unplug when not being used, stow the wire. Looking on Amazon, I can't find a unit plug and socket that looks suitable. I could use 2 mono 1/4" jacks but I would prefer a single plug/socket. And the female jacks I saw come without a cover. With banana plugs, there would be 4 to plug in. I'd rather not.

    Try the NEUTRIK XLR-plug NC-4MX and a NEUTRIK XLR socket 4pin NC4FX.

Thanks, that's perfect. It will handle the current; they're cheap, compact and convenient.
