Thanks Peter! I have to admit that I sure liked the look of it once I saw it in person. I really liked my TT-2 turntable, but this is in another league. Each record that I play is so clean sounding and in a very positive way - It's like some mud has been cleared away and you can hear just the music now. My beat up copy of Exodus by Bob Marley was a revelation yesterday. Each record has been really enjoyable. Lots more detail, ambiance and tonality, without it being analytical.

I am done. It's taken a few years to build the system up to this but it is very enjoyable. I may tinker with a interconnect or two, but that is it. Time to get back to collecting records : )

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

It is a variation of a unipivot. It is the SG-1 tonearm from Vertere. There is some information online that describes the design better than I ever could! It matches nicely with my Io Gold cartridge.

Nice looking deck Don, if AN do have a weak point IMO it’s the turntables, glad that you have got a really nice deck to listen to mate

I agree with you. I do think that the Half Reference and Full Reference turntables are very special, but they are really, really expensive. It is amazing how the rest of the system was ready to shine with a really good source. It feels like the music is played without any system noise (that you don't know is there until it is removed), just the sound of the music coming from the vinyl.
