Default Acrylic Products - Lids, shelves, platters

I am pleased to be able to now offer a complete range of bespoke acrylic products made to the very highest standards. No job too small, or too big!

RFC has teamed up with a specialist manufacturer following a lengthy consultation and tendering process to be confident of bringing you the very best quality acrylic hifi products currently available for very reasonable prices. All designs are either by RFC or to customer specific specification. I am also happy to provide design services based on a statement of need in order that you get exactly what you want.

Typical sample prices and products include:

    • Turntable lids from as little as £85 plus P&P
    • Acrylic shelving in 10mm thick flame polished acrylic (please ask for a quote based on size/shape)
    • Headphone stands from as little as £40
    • Acrylic turntable mats and platters built to customer specification from as little as £85 (platter)
    • Bespoke DIY acrylic project casework from as little as £100 for a standard full sized component
    • CNC machines acrylic end plates and other one off fabrications
    • Bespoke Acrylic speaker stands

Please note that in terms of TT lids, I can produce replica lids for more hard to find TT lids such as Pink triangle's (very pink!) lid complete with cuts outs to exactly match the original, or for any other demanding specification in clear or coloured acrylics.

Please contact me with your requirements and I will be delighted to provide a quote and lead in time for delivery (from as little as one week).

Great stuff Paul. However i have tried many fabrication companies that just cannot do absolutely perfect lid joints. Any chance of some Macro shots of joints please? I am extremely fussy, so fussy it's painfull

I agree Andre. Finding a company that can do a proper job is tricky as there's many out there offering cheap heat formed joints and I no longer use those as they impart stress in the acrylic meaning that 3mm lids in particular can go off-square or ripple at the edges. I insist on proper mitred joints using "invisible" UV stabilised and set bonding agents. Very few companies offer this and its taken me ages to find and form a business relationship with the chosen specialists. That is based on the excellence of their work. I can assure you that in part due to my very tight tolerance specifications and their track record and superb workmanship, you wont buy better. I'm having a delivery next week of some pieces I've been working on for a client so will add photos when they arrive.

Great stuff, even better with the Mitred Joints, My Michell 'Focus One' lid literally fell to pieces. The construction was same as the Pink Triangle lids Mitred..

To be fair, Pink Triangle lids were not the best made things. Most seem to have cracked or fallen apart now. As for mitres, they remain the best way (apparently) of forming the joint due to high glue area, and its really the advancement of the bonding and curing agents over the past few years which has made the biggest improvements in strength. The company I deal with has developed their own bonding agent after investing considerable resources and time and they use it for high value museum and exhibition display casings.

I have some close shots but don't tend to look at lids using a macro lens

Here's a few for you, and as you can see, nice neat mitre joints:
