    Are these good speakers to go with a nad 3020e amp and a budget CD player ? Thankyou for your help

    I used a pair in a similar system in my office for years,i thought they sounded very good ,for the money.

    My late mate had a pair he was using with an 'A60' i gave him.. Sounded quite good actually.

    They sounded very boxie when I had a set. AR18s/Wharfedale Diamond 9.1/Monitor Audio BR2 all sound better IMO.

    Of course there will be better speakers, there always are at any price (despite what some may say), but if you like them and the price is OK, go for it!

    They'll be fine with the NAD.
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Cresta's are a decent speaker if in good fettle. Might need a little attention if they've not had any mind...

    Just as an aside, regarding your comment Grant.

    I know there is a great interest in recapping speakers, but to be honest, having had maybe 300 pairs of speakers, I've never had a dud capacitor as far as I'm aware and I have used a meter or substituted caps when in doubt. (same with valves, never had one die on me and I must have had forty or so valve amps, many pretty old)
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Sure Geoff, if the original components are of good quality and they have not been pushed hard then they could easily be fine. No guarantee that'll be the case though. better to take it into account just in case, or you can be disappointed. Its not uncommon for xovers to need a bit of a refresher and costs little unless its a complex set up.
