    No not mine, but yes it is real. Until recently even Ferrari were stating that there were no RHD 250GT California Spyders, that is until that is this one turned up.

    Provenance is exeptional and there is a 1965 Motor Sport ad with picture to support it and it has apparently been owned by the Ferranti family for a long time.

    According to Ferrari, all 250 Californias, LWB and SWB, were LHD.

    It used to say

    "As with the earlier ’LWB’ variant, all ’SWB’ examples were numbered in the odd chassis number road car sequence carrying a ’GT’ suffix, were left-hand drive (despite the concurrent berlinetta being available as RHD), and were fitted with four wheel disc brakes."

    Antoine Prunet said in his book Fantastic Ferraris of the 250 GT Spyder California: "Many options were permitted, but no one ever asked for - or received - a right hand drive car."

    Gorgeous...

    The one thing that stands out to me like a sore thumb, whenever you see pics of lovely vintage sports cars, is their nicely ‘rounded’, sleek looking shape [and the fact that they’re quite small], which I find much easier on the eye than the big, square, bulky [ugly in comparison] varieties of such we see today!

    Has anyone else noticed that?

    For a good example of this phenomenon, although not a sports car, compare how Rolls Royces used to look, say from the 50s to the 80s, compared with how they do now… Check out the soulless big square ‘bus’ you get these days, completely devoid of character or individuality, for goodness knows how much dosh: http://www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com/phantom-family/
