    Hi all,

    Been a browser for some time but decided to join up and be counted. I consider myself an audio hobbyist as opposed to an audiophile. I hit the mid-fi spot and try not get too lost in upgraditis.
    I love retro gear, I still listen to cassette and vinyl but I've also embraced high quality digital music, flac, hi-res flac etc. My musical tastes vary from rock to folk and I totally dislike jazz............sorry jazz fans.

    My gear is;
    Denon 720 series amp and cd player.
    Pioneer PL-300 Turntable through an Art Deejay II preamp.
    Yamaha KX-493 cassette deck. Sony WM-DC2 cassette Walkman.
    Fiio X3 DAP feeding Hi-Res flac to a Beresford Bushmaster MKII DAC.
    Boston Acoustics A26 speakers
    Sennheiser Momentum headphones
    Sennheiser PX100 ii and Beyerdynamic DTX 101 for portable use.

    The important thing is to find a system you are comfortable with and not chase that elusive 'perfect' system. Don't worry about not liking jazz, we won't hold that against you!
