    Default Yamaha NS1000M Genelec version

Finnish National Broadcasting company had Yamaha NS1000M as their standard monitor.
This was a special version modified by Genelec. They removed the original crossover
and bolted on an active crossover and three 120 W amplifiers.
This was called Genelec Triamp S45YA.

I have heard that 90 pairs were ever made.
    It is unknown outside Finland.

I am chuffed that I am getting my hands on a well preserved pair this week.

    Here is the front:

    And the back:

Will post better pictures later this week.

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

Exactly, look at Genelec.com. No mention there. I guess they want to forget the Yamaha origins.

    Never heard of those. Interesting.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
