    Well you live and learn
TBH I'd forgotten that ISP's various have their own portals - probably because my (low speed) line is Orange and their portal is utter sh**t and my (high speed) connection is a Tooway satellite and they don't have a portal
Once upon a time I made my own portal / home page with the links I used most but Safari, Google and Firefox all have good "home pages" now with customisable most visited icons. In browser speed tests (on Yosemite) Safari is fastest but I guess like HiFi ( and most things in life) it's whatever floats your boat and there is no "best"
    Always a little further

Sadly I think you are both correct and I doubt you'd get round it, good luck Robbie.

    Default Aol not crap !!

Quick up date and to be fair. Finally got to the route (pardon the pun as you'll see) of the problem after many calls and elimination. A brand new and more up to date router was given free of charge with v straight forward instructions. Internet connection is solid at full strength and has not dropped out once since install. My fairly new computer is once again fast and efficient like new. So and to conclude - AOL not crap, old and failing router is / was !

I went back to using Comodo Dragon nearly six months ago and it's been faultless.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Checking on line it seems AOL internet is regarded as the worse with a lot of disgruntled customers. Anyone else having problems, or changed service provider for the better ? I've almost had enough as has my wife and daughter
Did not even know they were still going.

They will use BT's lines so maybe its BT's fault?
