OK, I've got it down to four.

    For cruising to Provence:

for batting round Devon lanes and nipping into town:

for popping up to the West End, and just staring at slack-jawed:

for fooling around on the farm, and giving kiddies in RangeRover Sports a sense of perspective:

The Unimog is nice, but I'm a fan of the survivalist look so the bling would have to go!

My views on classic cars have been tarnished by all the crap ordinary cars I have had in the past. A very nasty example was an Austin 1300GT. Looked nice when I bought it-white with a black plastic leather roof. It failed the MOT five times because of corrosion and the welder who repaired it ruined the seats with his blow torch. It had three gearboxes fitted and when I sold it the exhaust was blowing blue smoke because the piston rings were knackered.

I had a 1300GT and loved it, but like all of it's brethren it dissolved in the summer rains.

This is how some of it ended up:

What the hell have they done to that Mog? talk about style over function! what a joke! only an airhead with more money than sense would have one like that, hilarious!

Mind you, the 'proper' Mogs are fab, though I would still go for a Pinzgauer - portal axles, air suspension, cental spine chassis etc...

I think the second one. I know its a boring predictable choice, but since I first saw one on Top gear I have been in lust with that car.
