Sounds like a good idea. I also think I'll dig out my copy and watch it again. How does anybody think of setting the storyline of Homer's "Odyssey" in the rural South during the Great Depression? Amazing flick, I love it.

Hey Beechwoods! A wonderful Bluegrass vocalist by the name of Allison Krauss sings during the "baptism at the river scene". Check it out, if you're not already hip.

I have a great live recording of her, with Union Station, which is great - there's something about live recordings that sound so much better than studio cuts. I'll have to dig out that one too

Welcome to AoS. Your taste in music (favoriticity?) sounds very good to me. I'm sure you'll make a lot of friends here.
Favoriticity, yes, well. Raising children can be quite interesting, especially when trying to teach them basic skills like speech. My youngest was particularly amusing at times in this regard. He amazed by coming up with words like favoriticity when he was as young as 4 years. Some of his liberties w/the language stuck with me.

Mazzappa? Actually, I kind of like it. Has a more proactive flavor than Mazeppa, perhaps. I may have to change my handle.

Allison Krauss and Union Station Live resides in my collection as well. Great is an appropriate adjective.

Oops! My Apologies Mazeppa. Getting your username wrong in a welcoming post - not a good start. I must have either been thinking of, or playing, Frank Zappa at the time. Well that's my (lame) excuse.

    Welcome to AoS nonetheless.

    Regards

No problem at all. When Mr. Zappa gets in your head, he can easily overshadow things like whether it's Mazzappa or Mazeppa.
