    Default Hello from Staffordshire

    Hi

I live in Staffordshire, England. I've been into music for many years, since I retired I have found more time to do the things that I enjoy. Over the summer I have totally changed my set up. For many years I was running an Audio innovations 300mk2, Rogers 7ti's, and a Technics SLP990 CD. I now have Marantz CD5004 , Puresound A30 using Tung Sol 6550, and Soviet Military Spec Tubes, and Rega XEL transmission lines. I added a Beresford 7534 Caiman Mk2 yesterday. The system is wired with Beldon phono cables made by retired Brit ex Pat in Thailand called on ebay Coastman25. The speakers are wired with 4 mm diameter enamelled. Copper wire thats sleeved in Nylon with silver soldered 4mm plugs. Listen to classical, Jazz , Blues, Baroque and Tudor Choral.

    Hello Bryan. Welcome to AOS.

You have some interesting gear there. How about some photos for our Gallery section?

I'm sure you'll find plenty of interest here. There are sections covering every aspect of Hi-Fi.

If you're planning any changes to your system, we'd like to hear about them.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.

Grant, I was just going to say nice to see more valves in action.

A hearty welcome from me too.

I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

    Default I've always loved Valves.

I've always loved Valves. In 74 when I left school I went to work for a GEC company that amongst its product lines installed sound reinforcement systems in Pubs, Clubs, Factories etc etc. A lot of the stuff was made in house using GEC KT66 and KT88s. I later became a service engineer for them...
