Ah thanks, Chris. I recognised the voice, just couldn't put a name to it.

Good to see your status change, Chris. You got the new amp fired up, then?

Hi Martin and thanks for asking .

Yes it's a Marantz KI pearl lite , it's a nice amp , not sure at the moment whether it's a happy match with my AE speakers ? It needs a bit more running in though .

Aren't they a gorgeous timeless design? Probably sounds cack though! This is a photo off the web, the one I've acquired has apparently just been serviced and cleaned.

I don't even know what I'm going to do with it, but I just couldn't resist

Now got to find some suitable 70's speakers... In fact, I think this will be the start of a complete 70's system
Alex, wondered what you thought of the Sony amp? Just bought one for £28 with just one channel working. Tried, but just couldn't resist! Looks quite solid.

The Rotel RA-611 is a goodie if you can find one!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Well Geoff, like Alex, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it but I've never seen one before and just had to have it.

Reminds me of me old Amstrad EX 330. Wonder if it's as good!

Now come on Stephen, you know the esteem with which Amsturd products are held. It's second only to Bose! (actually I'm sure that's not fair on Bose, their stuff does actually work)
