Any one ever tried connecting the optical/digital out from a AV amp to a Bersford DAC? My AV amp has a server mode and I was hoping to output the sound via my DAC to my stereo amp.

Should work as long as it is set to pcm as you'll want 2 channel stereo out Barry. Sure Macca will be able to give you a more detailed answer though

Hi I've done the same with my Denon AV amp to PS Audio Dac using optical out and setting it to PCM. In all honesty though for what I want I.e. to listen to Digital Radio I could just run the TV optical out straight to the DAC and bypass the AV amp altogether .
Life long music lover and Hi-Fi enthusiast for over 40 years, avid live music supporter, dismayed by the current dynamic ticket pricing applied to so many events !!
