Terminator DF seems to be dividing opinion, but I enjoyed it. Mackenzie Davis is fantastic in it.

Yeah, poncy film critics always want more sophisticated/complicated plots, which require too much concentration to follow, and spoil the fun!
Action movies should simply be superficial 'disposable froth', but well-acted and with suitably 'killer' action scenes!!

Best on at the moment is Joker I reckon. Looking forward to seeing The Last Black Man In San Francisco later in the week and went to see a 4K restoration of The Shining on Friday, brilliant and the cinema was totally rammed. I was surprised so many people wanted to see it - Kubrick at his best.

No worries, dude. The pesky kids weren't an issue when we went to see Terminator DF, last Sunday. The place was empty, as indeed it invariably always is these days... Haven't been to jam-packed cinema for about 20 years!
Netflix, streaming and Blu-ray players have largely killed off cinema audiences, certainly out with of the major cities, so hopefully you won't have any issues. We're going to see Dr Sleep on Friday night, as we'll be entertaining some of the neighbours' kids on Halloween - Del's made loads of decorations (witches, ghosts, carved out illuminated pumpkins, etc), and I've got some spooky music ready, so that'll be fun
Btw, we're also going to see John Smith play in Chester on Sunday night, and a ruby beforehand, so really looking forward to that!

Not sure I totally agree with that Marco, guess it might be the locale as my experience is very different? Cinemas in Cardiff have a large following with competitive pricing (around £4.00) and there's a lot of them, Cineworld (15 screens), Vue, Odeon, Premier and some small independents - Chapter often sells out it's two screens and they show a lot of unknown or left field art house films.
I regularly walk out of Cineworld because there's too many people and sold out/near sold out shows for blockbusters in the big screens are not uncommon. It was the same in Poole too. I did find the best times to go though are late evening shows on either Sunday or Monday. I tend to go during the day in the week, but have no problem leaving and coming back later if I don't care for my neighbours.
