I like the idea though of the extra space (as I'm quite tall and getting sufficient leg room at cinemas is always a problem), plus I like the idea of having a selected (quieter) area to sit and watch the film, separating one from the riff-raff

Dunno ‘bout “riff raff”, but recently, the mouth breather ongoingly commenting to his girlfriend to what everyone else was seeing during Alien Covenant, two rows in front, really made the movie for me?
The Chap was obviously a bit of an Aliens fan bless him, and wanted his dozing Girlfriend to share his wisdom...so every five minutes hit with gems like “Look..its Eggs...whoa!!!”

Interestingly, Sky have recently been advertising films that will be shown on their channels concurrently with the cinema releases, so those films that don't need the 'big-screen experience' can be watched in the comfort of your front room.

As for ignorant arses in cinemas who can't zip their beaks, and so spoil things for everyone else... Show them ZERO tolerance. If they don't shut it after you've warned them, then report them to one of the staff, who'll gladly remove them, if they don't behave.
