Some info here, and a link to a site with a circuit-

“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Depends if you want a 211 SET or a Ongaku. As already said, ANUK and AKJP Ongaku's are very different. And given the history between the two I doubt you can get ANJP transformers from ANUK. Lots of ways of doing a 211 SET. I have a pair of silver wound 211 output transformer somewhere, AE will wind them for you.

Are you actually sure that an Ongaku is the amp you want?

If you want to try a 211, I have the 211 SET I built a few years ago you are welcome to try, but it will need collecting.

If you ferret around the net, you'll find it mentioned, by the designer, that the use of (Italian) silver plays a significant role in how it sounds.

Yeah, it's supposed to be something like 20 year old weather aged silver that has been drawn into wire and wound into transformers. A 'proper' Ongaku is a mixture of heritage and mystique that can't be replicated.

The capacitors are silver too, as is the wiring.
