    Would it be possible to build a clone of the Ongaku monoblocks?

    A clone, yes, perfectly possible. The problem will be getting the exact output transformers.

    I've just had a look at the cost of silver for the transformers , it would cost A LOT!

    Yes, that is not going to be a cheap project!!
    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    You could certainly copy the circuit without using the very highly priced items. Won't sound the same as the original though..
