Red Dwarf was one of the best "sci-fi" series to be shown on TV in the early '90s! Loved it - though in my opinion the series ran on for too long: at the end the characters were looking distinctly old. The final episode was excellent however, and was a very clever way of providing 'closure'.

    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

This was the film adaptation of the BBC tv series. I rate both and the BBC original of Quatermass and the Pit is very good too as is the second story. Have them all on DVD and the penguin books of the scripts, so I will maybe watch again. My Sky+ box drive is getting very full about 4% left lol

Was that the sequal to 'The Ipcress File', with Michael Caine as Harry Palmer?
