    Default technics headshell weight

Hi. I'm using one of these with a sumiko headshell and denon 103r. There is a magnetic attraction between the weight and the cartridge - I'm just wondering if that will affect the sound?

That doesn't sound like a good thing. If the headshell weight is being attracted by the magnet in the cartridge, it is quite possible the magnetic field threading the coils of the cartridge will be altered, and that may affect the sound.

In general all headshell weights should be non-ferrous and non-permeable: such as lead or brass.
