That's my prized Spector NS-2A ! I got it in a pawn shop for only $200 US and fixed it up a bit. Tone for days! Always good to meet a fellow bassist!

Put it this way, his other half bought him some guitar lessons for Christmas a couple of years ago, as he'd me tioned he might take some to see if he could improve his playing. He went for his first lesson, couple of minutes in, the teacher said, "There's nothing I can teach you mate, here's your money back" :-)

    True story.
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

Aye, nice to see another bass player.

Currently I have a pair of Fenders, Jazz and Precision. Both in nice vintage sunburst. I've had the jazz bass so long it's practically an extension of my arm. Was new about 12 years ago but has all the battle scars we've earned together. Nobody else would want it but it's mine and I love it.
One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

Nice basses Rich, I love Jazz basses. I've only got a fairly new Precision and an Ibanez 6 string that does sound ffffffing amazing. I really miss my old Rickenbacker 4001 ( seen in my avatar ), I wish I'd never sold it. Also got a Fender Strat but I do struggle with my fat sausage fingers

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
