Not exactly a bargain, but a very very good buy for someone - but it went for more than I was prepared to pay for it, given that I have no need of it other than I've always liked Pioneer Stable Platter CD players - £86.13 including delivery - pretty reasonable, all things considered. I would have gone for it had I not spent quite a lot this month on my new Beresford Caiman, new Creek amp, all the associated cables... loads mored CD's - and It's all you lot's fault, leading me astray!

I used to own a Pioneer PD-91 (from the Elite range). It was built like a tank, looked gorgeous and, most importantly, had S/PDIF out. It sounded pretty damned good on its own, even better as a transport.
i've got one, improved with the solid aluminum top panel,
solid steel transformer foot, and resin-filled isolator feet
from the japanese market PD-3000;
