Sorry, I misunderstood you. When you said the internal regs make ALL the difference I thought you were saying in the context of to your ears hence I was curious as to how that translated sonically for you - no worries. I have a bespoke DC3 similar to this http://www.custom-hifi-cables.co.uk/...3-power-supply and very happy with it indeed

Well its been ages since I modded the 1210, probably years. I thought I might try these simple mods to see if I could eek a little more out of the 1210.

One of the very first things I did was to put a ferrite on the mains lead as a few of you guys advised against changing the lead. I would love to upgrade the power supply and David at MCRU very kindly posted the fitting instructions to me. I read these and showed them to a friend and we both agreed that the soldering and using a meter to check the wiring that was required was way above our comfort and confidence level. So unless some kind soul can come to my house and do the work required the replacement power supply has to go on the back burner. It took me awhile but changing the bearing was both easy and very rewarding, should have done that earlier. Matt and feet were changed early on over a 6 week period and were relatively inexpensive and worth every penny.
The arm was changed at time of purchase and has now along with the cartridge been further upgraded. I know that there is still many things I can do but at the end of the day the sound I'm getting is the best I've ever had.
