I think most of the the recent Sony dvd players can now ouput DSD via HDMI this is how I use mine into my Onkyo AV Receiver which has on board dsd decoding. You have to dig a bit in the Sony's menu to find the dsd output option. Sounds great btw.

If you buy the right Sacd machine , have a marantz battleship 27kgs
use mine 40-60 hours per week for 2 years with no problem
Sacd only thing that gets close to vinyl
also plays CD DVD DVD-A BLURAY with a 7.1 decoder built in
