Agree about the elegant aesthetics of the B&O 3000 series. I have a B&O 1700 tuner (with the 'slide rule' cursors of the 3000 electronics) as well as an SP6 cartridge. The tuner is very good, but the cartridge is IMO out-classed by contemporaries such as the ADC 25 and 10E.

I do fancy picking up one of the early B&O machines, I have an SP1 cartridge (with, incredibly, a NOS stylus picked up in France in original packing) which sounds great, it's up there with the Shure M3D in my book as a great, beefy early stereo cartridge. I quite fancy one of the early small footprint B&O TTs for the study.
If you want a turntable to go with an SP2 cartridge, then you need a Beogram 42VF as this has the right arm to match its tracking angle.

Not necessarily, the SP1 is in use elsewhere but it does look interesting. Wasn't on my radar.

Yay, it's possible once again to buy a totally shite turntable, brand new. (Thought to be fair, Crossley, Ion and others have been working on it for a while too). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crosley-C...0AAOSwNMVab~2v
