    Default Luxman SQ700X amp

Been wanting to try an older amp to go with a Thorens TD150/V15typeii for awhile now, clicked buy now on this for £170 including postage.Don't think it's the bargain of the century by any means but they usually seem to go for a bit more. Only 20 watts into 8ohms but I'm listening in a fairly small space. Any thoughts?

It looks like in pristine condition Patrick. I came across some good reviews of this little amp a few times. Please share your thoughts once you get to listen to it

Really looking forward to giving it a try, it certainly looks in decent condition and it won't make me bankrupt if turns out not to be so good sounding.

The Luxman 700 is a steal! Those things were very expensive when new. I don't see how you could go wrong! If you don't like it you could sell it for a profit. Sharp looking amp, I'm guessing it sounds good!

JBL L40 speakers. Can you spot the problem here?

    They are basically scrap!

    The L40's on ebay:

    How they should look:

The pushed in tweeter dome is not good, but the bass drivers are totally wrong. They could be Richard Allen units (maybe).

These speakers are not worth bothering with and are scrap as far as I'm concerned.
