Ah. I could be to blame here. I'm a big fan of these and said so the other day.

    Thumbs up Tannoy recone stuff

This guys sells tannoy recone kits and related things. Prices look reasonable compared to other sellers. I've bought stuff from him and he is good to deal with. No connection to him.

I know him too. Had a few decent bits from him. Did me a pair of mint SRM 10B cones for £60!

Very rare to see replacement HPD295A cones.

    Lucky guy!

The HPD295A is the most underrated Tannoy dual concentric of all. It's basically a 12" Monitor Gold magnet/tweeter assembly with a ten inch frame and cone fitted. The rubber surrounds are a big advantage and the doping to the rear of the cone removes much of the slightly 'woody' colouration that the 12" Gold and HPD have. Generally seen only in the Eaton cabinet, which is a slight shame, as it performs so much better in a bigger box!! The bass perfomance is actually better than the 12" Monitor Gold, sounding tighter and deeper.

This seller is Nick Potter who runs Lockwood Audio these days, all these kits are the real deal and he's a great bloke.

Thanks for the information, I didn't know that. There always seems to be more to this Tannoy lark than meets the eye!
