    That sounds plausible.

I got stung for £50 when I ended an auction which had a £500 bid on it. After a long phone conversation eBay said they would give it back but they never did. I rarely use eBay to sell these days because of that - it's cost them many £hundreds in fees.

I reckon that's what he's up to, he has other items listed that would be priced in the millions otherwise.

Only a collector would buy it and I guess might pay well over the odds for a bit of BBC history. But if he wants money he should sell the SP 10's individually. Even without plinth he'd get 6-700 each. That he's put the price up by double shows hes a bit of a numpty.

    In perpetual pursuit.

If anyone wants a genuine audiophile power amp for not much more than beer money, then invest £95 here ...

It's the same power amp as my Philips 370 but with a different fascia.
It sounds superb if you appreciate the 'open window on the music' type of approach.
You'll need DIN adapters for the speaker connections, though.

Jesus! A Linn Axis bid up to £460 so far. Ends soon. That's twice what I'd pay (assuming I wanted another).

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Unusual PA Tannoys with Monitor Reds. Never seen these before, but you wouldn't get the asking price of £20,000 off me for them.
