If they were still made they would probably retail for close to that.

Knock a zero off and you're about there.

i said in an early post the buyer states totally original and not molested in any way,the pictures clearly show 2 different bass drivers and the mids look different too!

These Mordaunt Short speakers are a horror story.

If I recall, the bass units were Fanes, those are Goodmans. There's a Goodmans tweeter were there should be a midrange driver and the other mid is scrap. The Coles tweeter is the only original unit, the other tweeter looks like a cheap Chinese type.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

According to the description they sound good with some Shirley Bassey playing through them, though:

Mids (tweeter) may have originally been KEF T15's

This is the latest stunt on eBay, item doesn't sell at £1000, relist it at £1250 it doesn't sell again, list it again at £999 and someone thinks they've gotten a bargain reduced from £1250.

See it happening a lot these days.

It could also be that he has sold them privately. If he cancels the auction ebay will charge him 10%, if he leaves the auction open someone might buy them and he'll be charged 10%, if he changes the price to £12k no one will buy them, auction will finish with no buyer and the seller doesn't have to pay a fee.
