Must be why they are £650 instead of £65 or even £6.50 which is what I might give for them if I took pity. A giraffe being had.

JBLs just listed with a BIN of £70 you could do a lot, lot worse at the price, pick up from Hertford. If they were near to me I would be unable to resist.

If you are in Canada, then have a look at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-OP...item33931755be
Together with the SM-4646 you are looking at the best amps Sharp ever made.

This is definitely worth picking up for anyone in South London/Surrey:

Local pick-up and no remote but with a BIN of £15 he's practically giving it away!

    Regards,

They're jumping on the LS3/5A 'bandwagon'. The Goodman's Maxim speakers were great little bookshelf speakers in their day, but were not designed to be heard near-field as the LS3/5A were. Not worth £650 IMO, maybe £150.

I've had a pair of them in the distant past and whilst they sound sweet and clean they are not a hi-fi speaker in any accepted 21st century sense and are definitely not an 'undiscovered classic'. I'd value a mint pair at twenty quid absolute tops.
