Hi,

Looking for something cheap to tide me over since I've sold my gyrodec. Would this fit the bill or better wait and buy after my holidays, would be looking at spending around £500-£1000 second hand one I get back mid September, although funds would depend on my wife returning to work

I have a Goldring 1012gx spare - would that fit/suit the Walker/Linn Basik?

Would do more than tide you over I suspect.

Upgradeable very easily too with something like a Jelco 750-D (which is Linn fitting so should bolt right on) or an outboard PSU (Heed or somesuch). Cartridge will bolt straight on the headshell of that Linn arm and decent compliance match.

Seems good. Nag MP11 in there as well which is a nice cart. I remember the basic as being a good arm so it should be fine with the Goldring.

If you want to use the Goldring you'd get decent money back on the Denon.
