The best speakers are the worst looking ones.

(No, not really but it would be good if that was true).

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Far less bargains to be had now compared with 10 years ago when I started on there.

If you get in fast when you first see a buy it now some sellers dont know what they have. However thats usually on a saved search and Ive seen the new listing before anybody else.

Bidding on anything semi popular will not result in a bargain these days. Everybody gets a bit lucky once in a while but its not something that can be relied on.

I am interested to see what bargains people are still getting but you cant have had much competition

Rogers Export Monitors, didn't think that they used KEF bass units, in the past only seen Dalesford bass units.

To my ears, the KEF B200 is inferior, midrange is much more coloured.

The bass drivers are wrong. Those are B200 SP1014 from the KEFkit version of the Chorale (KEFkit 2 I believe). That small magnet version of the B200 is unsuited to reflex loading and was designed for a 20L sealed cabinet. Those Rogers are basically 'salvage' now. I hope any prospective buyers do their homework.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
