Can't remember where I saw it mentioned, but it was around the time you were passing on your knowledge when I was deciding to buy the one I have or not.

I'd be tempted at the silver one as I'm sure it would look better on my 1210 than the black version does.

Something very odd with the seller's pages here - multiple high end items (eg you Tannoy / Techie fans) mostly ending in a couple of days. Photos all look like different locations.

    Egs:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/tannoy-we...YAAOSwkela9tJ2

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TECHNICS-...wAAOSwwBha9tJK

Seller feedback data looks genuine and notes say that they are currently away. The "see full item description" button takes you to something very smelly - be wary and don't accidentally click anything !

Has their account been hacked I wonder ? As a good citizen is it worth messaging the seller (using the standard message facility) or eBay ?

    Pete

Post script - the links have all been changed, nothing to see here. Maybe someone intervened. Very strange.

PL-12D at £250? Are we getting a little carried away here? Even without the paint spatters and with the correct mat, it would only be worth a third of that.

These loopy noodles that overprice their ebay listings will relist them many times over with no takers. Even then they still cannot comprehend that they have put complete tat on at ridiculous asking prices. I spoke to a chap recently who was selling a very battered Technics sl1210 at a boot sale for £300 quoting what money they can fetch on ebay. I shocked him by saying that the high prices are only realised by mint condition decks, not the dustbin fodder he was peddling. Nob.

    How about these Wharfedale Lintons?

"New other" indeed! Keeping them dry for 30 years don't make them new. They look a bit scuffed at the bottom and something not quite right about the tops (or just dust?). I can believe the "no excessive highs" though!
