    I agree its nice but I'm not convinced it's direct drive. The four speeds make this unlikely and many Braun decks of this era were hybrid belt/idler drive. In addition, various places online purport to sell a belt for it...

    Indeed it's a belt-driven idler I believe (as indeed is the TD124). I could be very tempted by this if it wasn't a hike up to Wolverhampton. Gorgeous looking thing.
