They are a bit of a 'sleeper', but extremely nice. They use the Decca London horn ribbon tweeter, which are worth around £400 on their own. I guess these speakers will be promptly canibalised by the buyer.

I have a pair of these in full working order Lucky me and yes they do sound so sweet

When at the Beeb, in about '72, we had a pair of monitors in one of the Multiple Control Positions which used that unit, and I was blown away by it.

A couple of years later a neighbour asked me what to consider purchasing and he went on to buy MS700s, and these beat my Tannoy Golds.

Despite being lovely unit, it has marked limitations, but is a pioneering bit of design.

This fully balanced phono stage at £750/offers, normally retails at £1,750 (1,990 euros)

    Gets pretty good reviews.

EDIT: Balls, pulled the trigger on this myself today, too good to miss.
Great reviews from: Stereophile, 6Moons, TNT Audio, Soundstage, 10 Audio, Stereo Mojo.
With a LOMC cartridge used in balanced mode, it is a single ended class A current amplifier (Whatever that is).

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

These sorts of people are little more than con merchants, setting a trap for the lazy or the trusting ... of course it is always caveat emptor, but a vendor like this is setting a trap for novices and it's not pretty.
