Exactly! Who in their right mind would spend that kind of money on these? That much would buy a very tidy pair of Tannoy Eatons for instance. And those have beautiful drivers in. You get your moneys worth.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

£280 for a pair of 'bastardised' KEF Reference 104 speakers. I'd not give more than forty quid for them as parts!

I'm not sure there is a great deal of love for cashconverters on the forum but this Marantz 1050 amp looks nice at £50 if you are local- of course doesn't mean it will sound nice. The fact that the photo doesn't show the full face might mean there are hidden issues.

Cashconverters sell gear that is not tested properly. I know, as I've had to return Hi-Fi that was not working correctly. I've also repaired an old TT as best could for somebody, only to see it in that shop shortly after at a loony price, despite it being incomplete and barely functional.

Our one has closed down now. Don't think there were many takers for their stock of crappy catalogue guitars and battered smartphones. All at ridiculous prices of course.
    Current Lash Up:
