Good price. The 303 is a late version.

(BTW Didn't you say you thought the 33 was a poor design and was one of the worse you have heard?)

Tis nice, says that it was purchased in the mid 70's, however, the 303 looks like a late production one, IEC mains socket and round speaker sockets.

Yes, I'm only interested in the power amp really. I'd probably sell the other two components on at some point.

A 33 in good condition is not really that bad, the FM3 is a pretty good sounding tuner.

I'm not keen on the 34 either. The 303 used with a passive, though, is a very beguiling sound IIRC.

    Nor me. Pretty dull sounding.

This is the second time he's advertised it so I'd guess he may be open to offers?

I used to use a 33/303 combo for AV duties. (Now use a Hafler DH101/Quad 520 combo.)

My Quad FM3 has given me thirty years of trouble-free service, and was only replaced with the FM4 some eight years ago.

In general Quad gear is very well built, and on the whole quite reliable. I'm a big Quad fan; excluding the speakers, I have 14 items of Quad electronics.
