They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

    Do you know what ?
That's exactly what I thought when I saw it in the rack. I'd been playing some Stevie Wonder and it was just there, looking at me, daring me to play it ..

I must say it sounds better now than it did three decades ago mainly because I've listened to so much more jazz since I bought it so I can appreciate more what it was they were trying to do.
The recording quality is excellent - it sounds fantastic on the original vinyl version I've got - and some of the sudden changes from late night cool jazz to hot latin are astonishing and really get your toes tapping

Out of interest, I took a look on discogs to see how much their stuff is going for - I have the second LP too - and they're dirt cheap on vinyl (£2.49 for a near mint copy) but the double reissue CD is still full-price at £12+. The original CD is supposed to sound terrible though so if anyone fancies it I'd get the LP
