Yes, World Machine is a good album; I saw them live at the B/ham Odeon on that tour in the 80's - I've still got my programfrom the event. I have to be honest here and I think that when they did World Machine, that's when I think they went more commercial and I never thought from then (including that album) they were as good as before. I liked the 1st album, The Early Tapes,True Colours and some of The Pursuit Of Accidents. World Machine was a wholly commercially aimed album and just lost some of that something that the previous albums had. They're still a fantastic band and the musicianship is superb!!!
I saw Level 42 again last year at Torquay Theatre and they were still brilliant live!!!
It isn't necessarily about doing things right, its also about doing the right thing !!!!!
