    Carole King - 'Tapestry'

Sony 'Collector's Edition' Mastersound (gold-plated foil) CD.

A significantly fresher recording than the rather dull-sounding vinyl version as well as that of the first CD transfer.

    Rolling Stones - 'Sticky Fingers'

Vinyl version with the damaging zip cover. Still the best version over the CD (re-mastered or not). I have to store this LP separate from the rest of my Stones albums otherwise the bloody zip would damage the cover of 'Let it Bleed'.

Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

My ancient copy certainly doesn't sound dull, maybe just the later pressings?
