Deep Purple "Come Taste the Band" 35th Anniversary Edition on CD.

I started getting into the original version of this album a few weeks back, having previously been a stalwart Deep Purple Mk II line-up fan. Sorry for being so late to the party but the Kevin Shirley remix is a real WOW ! - each of the drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals is so much clearer and more upfront. I'm normally sceptical of the value of all this remastering, remixing and re-releasing gubbins but CD2 of this set is top notch.

If Wanda Jackson were in her prime and still making Rockabilly records, they might sound like this woman...

Love Peggy Lee. . Her recording of 'The Folks Who Live On Hill' is one of my all time favourite songs. Thanks Dad.

My Dad was a big Dean Martin fan, and I'm pretty sure that the first Peggy Lee track that I heard was her duet with Dean from 1948 'You Was' on an LP called 'Nat, Dean and Friends'. Still a favourite.
