    Oh yes, kick muck. I used to do a bass workout/warm up to this track. Love it when that groove kicks in.
    One of these days... I'm going to cut you into little pieces.

    Catching up on some best of 2016 lists has thrown up some new to me artists which I've been enjoying this morning (quiet day in the office )

    Kaytranada - 99.9%

    Whitney - Light upon the lake

    And also Miles Davis' tribute to Jack Johnson album which I've never really listened to before despite enjoying a lot of other MD stuff from this kind of period.

    I have loads of so called 'world music', apart from different rhythms / singing styles, and instruments from the 'norm', its the fact that i don't understand what they are singing about that appeals. The vocals become more of an instrument.

    Volbeat through a pair of iPhone earbuds. The cold snapped the wire on my headphones this morning. It's barely better than listening to the co-workers.

    Now;

    Pixies - Doolittle (LP, 4AD 1988)

    Damned this is good! Why is it that some music just grabs you by the heart/balls and thrashes you around emotionally?

    An outstanding record. Pixies best one I reckon. It's a small funny thing but I was always impressed with how the song Tame stops right on a sixpence and heads into Wave of Mutilation. Great stuff.
