Brother Cain is a band from the mid 90's that like so many others, came, rocked, and faded into obscurity. But this is by far their best effort! And it rocks! Plus it's a very good recording, it showcases my CD player's strengths. Two guitars trade leads back and forth constantly, not Southern, but decidedly American. Their first album isn't bad either. Did I mention it ROCKS!

I always remember thinking that Scary Monsters was Bowie's last great album and that this one had its moments but was too patchy to be considered a classic.

Just dug out the vinyl for the first time in yonks and while the musicianship is superb, I don't like him singing falsetto and I think I was right all along : some great songs and some filler, but still a fun listen
