“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Nice. Be interested to hear what the SQ is like Mike. I have the live album Minimum - Maximum which sounds very good indeed. Going to see the show at The Albert Hall next month. Notoriously bloody hard to get tickets for their concerts but did it at last.

Sound excellent, not had the volume up too high yet but they sound good and quiet between tracks too.

I've tickets to see them in June as well 😁

At the time I bought my tickets I spoke to a guy who'd seen them live over 100 times all over Europe. Needless to say he's in the front row at the one I'm attending 😊

The Carter Family, lovely crackly lo-fi recordings from the 1920s/30s.

Postman and amazon delivered yesterday & today and finally getting the chance to work through..

    Solstafir: Berdreyminn 2LP.

If you liked Otta, you'll enjoy this. A little more melodic with some symphonic prog. leanings. Still lots of atmosphere and that guitar sound.

    Beatles: Sgt Peppers 2LP

Only had the chance to play the outtakes (sides 3 & 4) the remix /master is up next.
Superb package and quiet pressing. It really has been done properly

and the postie even brought my copy of "Shindig" ( always an interesting read)

Add water... Makes It's own sauce! + Don't Do Rap.. Don't do Urrban.. Don't do Modern R&B and Don't Do Radio 1 cos it's all fecking SHITE
