Would welcome any views on the Ariston RD 40 - good bad or indifferent?
I have used one a good few years ago and remember not being too impressed.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I used to have one of these, i got mad with it one day & literally used it as a flying saucer, i did not like any of the Biscuit tin decks of the day either..
If i remember i had a Mission '774LC' on mine..
It must look better than it sounds then. Quite a tasty looking machine.
I had a more conventional Ariston, can't remember the number now but it was OK. Only OK though.

I still have an Ariston 'RD11 Superiour' boxed up in showroom condition.
Not the last word in sound quality. Look nice but sound is below par.

Well it wasn't intended as a high-end item. More a lower priced one with upgrade options.
