    remember my Amstrad Amp and Tuner setup back in the day, had Ram speakers if i remember, or was it Solavox?
    Thought I was a wee bit special with my big silver box separates....


    Sounded great playing Billy Joel from my Dual 505...audio memory a great thing innit?

    Yes moving furniture around will cause alterations, possibly improvements to the sound. Biggest upgrade anyone can make re this is moving their hifi (or anything else they have sitting there) from between the speakers, soundstaging, imaging and frequency integration will all improve.

    Yes I know longer cables are required but even so it will still sound better.

    FWIW The Amstrad 5000 series was generally crap, but at one point Amstrad ran out of bits to make them and went to Pioneer to sub contract. If you find an amp or tuner with the Pioneer innards they are belters and cheap as chips I had one of the tuners years back and it was a thing of joy. At the Audiojumble in Feb, I saw two of the TP 12 rega planet knock offs from his sugarness go fo 70 squids each, this is possibly the worst TT ever made, go figure.
